Privacy Policy
ProSolution views its responsibility to appropriately deal with your personal information very seriously. The following privacy policy concerns the collection and use of personal information by ProSolution Group Pty Ltd ("ProSolution"). This policy complies with the National Privacy Principals and the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth). This privacy policy is current as at November 2002 and may be updated from time to time to comply with the law without notification.
What is personal information?
Personal information is any information from which your identity can be ascertained. This information can be in the form of facts or opinions about you.
What information do we collect?
We collect personal information solely in the course of operating a financial services business. This information is use by ProSolution to analyse your lending situation. The types of personal information collected include name, address, occupation, contact telephone numbers, employment history and details about your income, expenditure, assets and liabilities.
We will endeavour to explain to you why we need certain types of information and exactly how this information will be used.
How do we collect it?
We will collect all personal information directly from you. This may be collected by telephone, by email, in person or by using the Internet.
We may from time to time receive your name and contact details from third parties where associates may refer you to ProSolution.
Why do we collect it? And how do we use this information?
We collect personal information to:
- Conduct our business as a mortgage broker which includes assessing your suitability for finance and processing your application with your chosen lender;
- To communicate to you about our products and services; and
- For internal purposes (i.e. marketing, planning, research, etc).
At any time you may opt out from receiving any communications from us. This may be done by speaking to your Lending Analyst or contacting the Client Services Manager in your state by calling 1300 880 224.
Do we disclose this information to anyone else?
We treat your personal information with utmost confidentiality and do not disclose any information to anyone outside of ProSolution except to our approved lenders and aggregators on a confidential basis. In the rare circumstances that we engage the services of third parties, we ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to protect your personal information. Under no circumstances are third parties permitted to copy or make use of your personal information. Otherwise we do not disclose any information unless explicitly required to do so by law.
Can you access your personal information held by us?
At any time you may request us to provide you with a list of personal information that we have retained and copies of that information. We will endeavour to provide this information at our earliest possible convenience but at least within one month from your request. Depending on the volume of the information requested there may be a charge for providing such information.
If you feel that the personal information held by us is incorrect or out of date then we would be pleased to update our records.
We will take all reasonable steps to ensure all personal information is destroyed when this information is no longer required.
How do we store all personal information?
We treat your personal information with utmost confidentiality and take all reasonable steps to ensure its security. All ProSolution employees are bound by confidentiality agreements to ensure your personal information is maintained confidential during and after employment with us. Access to our office is restricted by locked rooms and complex security systems. Computer systems are password protected.
