A financial plan is not a magic bullet. Successful people have a mentor!
Our fixed fees are agreed upfront and completely transparent. We are a genuine fee-for-advice financial advisory practice in that we are paid the same irrespective of the advice we provide you. This ensures the integrity of our advice is never compromised.
When preparing financial advice our focus is on strategy rather than product. We then determine the most appropriate assets to support the strategy. A strategy, by definition, is long-term in nature. An astute strategy is worthless unless it’s implemented correctly. Therefore, it’s our desire to develop strong ongoing relationships with our clients to ensure they stay on the right path to meet their financial and non-financial goals. While this limits how many clients we are able to develop relationships with, we are confident it results in a superior value proposition for our clients. Our fees include:
1. Annual Retainer:
The annual retainer is payable on an ongoing basis and is reviewed and agreed between us each year. The fee depends on the level of coaching (mentoring) and implementation we estimate is required (over the next 12 months) for you to meet your goals. Your annual retainer is payable quarterly in advance when our relationship commences. This fee should be tax deductible. Please request a copy of our Client Value Proposition document which contains a detailed listing of what this retainer includes.
Our ongoing service typically includes...
- Regular contact so that we know your situation intimately
- Help you manage cash flow
- Keep up-to-date with your financial results
- Conduct an annual ‘rediscovery workshop’ to ensure we are on the right track to achieve the right financial and lifestyle priorities
- Project manage the implementation of any investments
- Conduct due diligence on prospective products and investment options
- Invitations to relevant specialist presentations that are handpicked for you
- Involvement in every material financial decision you make
2. Strategic Plan Preparation:
The strategic plan fee is normally only payable once at the beginning of our relationship. This fee relates to the development of your long-term strategy. Our strategic advice fees are based on an hourly rate. You will be billed for the amount of work we have completed at the end of each month (capped at the fixed fee estimate). We may commence preparation of your strategic plan at the most appropriate time (but often within the first 12 months of our relationship).
